Hotel Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden: John F. Kennedy had already laid his head here

The house with sparkling glass façade

Former national soccer coach Helmut Schön once said about his hometown of Wiesbaden: "This is my five-star city: water, meadows, forests, wine and well-being." Guests can enjoy the matching comfort ath the Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden. The modern luxury hotel is surrounded by a quiet park landscape in the heart of the city and is only a few steps away from the Rhein-Main-Hallen, the Kurhaus/Casino and the city centre. The exclusive shopping streets of the sophisticated spa town are also within walking distance.

Already in 1954 the hotel was built as an officer's hotel of the American Army. The most famous guest in 1963 was John F. Kennedy, the late murdered President of the United States of America. He flew in by helicopter for one night and his visit gave the presidential suite of today's Dorint Hotel its name. Famous guests from the worlds of politics, business, film and television are still playing the role. They all enjoy the special atmosphere and the personal hospitality of Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden.

New beginning with Dorint at the turn of the millennium

The hotel has an eventful history behind it: once a point of contact for numerous prominent Americans who were guests in Germany, the hotel was abandoned in the 1970s when the Americans moved their air base to Ramstein. After a few years of vacancy, the ownership situation changed again and again. At the end of the 1990s the hotel came to Dorint.

The hotel was fitted with a new half, a seventh floor and a sparkling glass façade. This increased the number of rooms to 297 including 30 suites. The conference area was extended to 2,000 square metres. Here, Wiesbaden's largest ballroom (420 square meters) and twelve further combinable event rooms for five to 440 people and every occasion are located. Even cars can be transported through the glass front to the foyer on the first floor for presentation.

The Rheingau is not only famous for its exquisite wines, but also for its fine cuisine. The hotel Dorint Pallas Wiesbaden has also committed itself to this reputation. The Basilico Bar & Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with market-fresh seasonal specialities. If the weather is fine, you can dine in style on the hotel terrace. The Garden View Bar (30 seats, live music) is open from 9am to 2pm.

Guests of the Dorint Hotel Wiesbaden can relax in the 400 square meter wellness world. Facilities include sauna, steam bath, solarium and whirlpool. Here you can enjoy relaxing massages or the cleansing power of caldarium. A fitness room with various training facilities completes the exclusive leisure activities.
