Sauna

Finnish sauna

The Finnish sauna is the most common type of sauna in Germany. This sauna is heated by a stone oven which radiates the heat, reflected from the wooden walls and wooden ceiling. The sauna room is normally equipped with three wooden benches. Each of the ascending benches represent a temperature zone and the humidity is around 10-30% and 90 ° C-100 ° C, low humidity. By the infusion, the perceived temperature is increased.

Steam bath

The steam bath is a variant of the sauna at a lower temperature and higher humidity. In the steam room, the temperature is about 40 ° C - 55 ° C at a humidity of about 80%. The typical air in steam is achieved by the generation of supersaturated water vapor with a steam boiler. The perfect combination of heat and humidity is relaxing, cleaning and nurturing. The steam room helps especially for respiratory diseases.

Caldarium

Relax before your sauna in our caldarium. This is part of the classical Roman baths. The caldarium consists of a room where the floor hypocaust-heated, and often the walls and benches, radiate even heat from 40 to 50 ° C. The humidity is very high and is nearly 100%. This type bathroom is regarded as gentle cycle, the muscles relax. Additional fragrances should stimulate and are good for the respiratory system. The caldarium can be used as a preparation room for a hotter, dry sauna.

Quiet zone

In the rest area you will find blankets, journals or magazines. It is for your relaxation after the sauna or steam room transitions. The terrace in our wellness and spa areea invites you to cool down.
